Lots of stuff to start a fire in this thread I like how he explained to let the fire build properly first before adding too much big wet stuff, many forget this part.

Spent a week floating north of the artic circle in 90% rain conditions. These zippo made fire starters were a life saver. Also sourced wood from under trees where high water left them and had great luck.

Road flares are the easy button when things get critical.

He’s talked about them on his moose hunts, I believe it’s his G-B Small Forest Axe he uses.

Yep. Also left out that a Silky F180 is clutch for wood prep.
