I finally got my Carbon Spyder 30 all set up: 26.5" draw length, 70#, Injexions shooting 293 fps. Thanks to Shane (Ontarget7) for the excellent tuning. All my gear is listed below in my signature.

This bow is going to bring down a lot of animals all over Colorado, the Midwest, Canada, Africa, and God only knows where else. Warning to all animals: Fear the Spyder...fear the Exodus!

Yeah, the bow weighs 3.6#. I am considering losing the SS1 stabilizer on my backcountry hunt later this year. That would save me 8oz.

Congrats on the new bow.
I just got my new Faktor all set up and it shoots sweet but I'm thinking about shipping my bow off to Shane myself to get it perfectly dialed in. How long did it take him?

Shane is really, really good. Well worth it, compared to my ability to set up a bow properly. Most shops today just don't spend the time needed to tune it up properly. It only took a couple weeks. I live here in CO, so I drive it up to him and pick it up. I know he has a lot of bows now, but now is the time to do it. He will only get busier as the year goes on.

Wow!! Pretty impressive. What did he do to it to get the xtra speed? Different Strings? Tuning secrets? Arrow calculators put that set up at 286 fps

Yeah...not sure how he did it. He did try putting some special lube inside, but that didn't add much. He added a tremendous amount of speed to my old Spyder 30. He tunes so many bows, he figures out what small tweaks work best with each make and model. Well, well worth $75!

Sweet!!! My turbo is a great shooter. Contemplating on sending it to him........

Once he's tuned it, bare shafts are dead on with field points at 20 yards. Broadheads are dead on out to 80 yards. Speed and smoothness are optimized. You would not believe the difference he made in my Spyder 30 last year. Unbelievable. I had a worst case scenario then cause it had been set up terribly...but he even did great things with this new CS 30 straight from the shop.

John, it is always a pleasure when you come up. Glad it is shooting well for you and you are enjoying it. Hope to squeeze in some time and shoot with some of you this year.

Thanks for the kind words
Shane

Shane has been helping me tune my turbo through texts. But we kinda hit a wall because of my resources. So I am contemplating on sending it to him so he can finish.

He is really kind to help so many people via calls and texts and posts. But there's nothing better than letting him get his hands on them himself. Good luck.
