Finally Built My Ultimate Day Pack. Kuiu Pack, Exo K4 Frame, Kifaru belt

For a straight factory pack, I would go for a Kifaru Duplex frame and pack. They are bombproof. They are usually available time to time here, used and in good shape. EXO K4 is probably a little lighter, and just as strong. They are hard to find used because people get them and keep them.

Both are excellent heavy weight haulers, relatively light, and pretty good compressed down to a daypack arrangement.

Duplex is kifaru's older frame system. They have gone to the ARK frame system now, which makes it easier to pick up Duplex Lite frames at a good price.

Here is a pic of a Duplex Lite frame. It is the one I like best of the Kifaru frames. but I haven't tried the ARK system.
