Just watched OnX’s finding wild.

I appreciate everyone dumping film content to help us stay at home during these strange times. This was a bunch of good B roll with a hipster filter and a voice over lay from Tim Burnett getting all Donnie Vincent. I appreciate the effort but, have to wonder if we would be watching this in normal times.

Any thoughts?

That was pretty shitty. I'm sick of emotional hunting videos. It's just a hunt.

Yes, the slo-mo, emo, crying into the camera hunting films are ridiculous. They are as dumb as the high-fiving, tree-stand-whispering, woo hoo! films. If you want to document the hunt, do it fairly and accurately, leave the rest out.

I appreciate all the new hunting and outdoor films I can take in right now. I think he says out loud some of the thoughts that go through my mind on a great adventure be it big or small. Thoughts that I am not very good at sharing in a way for others to understand.
everyone has a different opinion on what they enjoy and that is fine with me

Maybe to you its "just hunting". I know I have my own personal reasons that it is never "just hunting".
I would love to see you produce a better short film on the reason's you hunt and what hunting means to you.

I wouldn't want to produce a short film about the reasons I hunt and what it means to me. And I wouldn't show it off with a desire to get views which translate into dollars so I could avoid a real job. It's a nice idea, but it's going to be short lived for the majority of the guys producing content these days. Especially if they are just showing b roll stuff that would have never made it if there weren't a bunch of out-of-work guys sitting at home watching anything they can, to pass the time.

I stand behind what I said about the film above. And I stand behind the fact that it is, just hunting, gathering food, not a spiritual journey. Maybe it's different if you have a man bun...not sure though?

I haven't seen it yet. My dad and I used to hunt all the time, he died when I was 19. I taught my younger sister and brother how to hunt. So I have a different view than just harvesting food, though that is a big part of it. But I have recently been rocking a ponytail, so who knows!
