I see on there site that there is no adapter needed to use with the monoffotto tripod head but will it work in a vortex ss-p head or will I need to order another tripod adapter?

Thanks,

Chris

Ok thanks realunlucky, I searched and couldn't find anything about it but wanted to order the tripod plate now if it was needed vs after the bino adapter arrived.

I have my SLCs on my vortex ss-p using the qd plate, works awesome. I just leave it connected to the tripod so I can switch between my 10s and 15s ( I bought to of the screw-in adapters).

So I will need another quick release plate for the tripod? Right now I have my quick release plate on my spotter and don't want to have to unscrew the plate to swap between the spotter and bino's.

Just wanted to update this thread so people know in the future. I got the field optics bino adapter in and it DOES need the vortex quick release plate on the ss-p tripod. The adapter fit the head but the locking mechanism didn't lock into place so I pulled the quick connect plate off my spotter to use and I'll be picking up another quick connect plate for my spotter.

Thanks,

Chris

Did you try flipping it and trying to see if the other side let the lever lock. Sorry i could have sworn it fit. I currently use a different tripod setup so couldn't check

Yeah I tried it both ways and the lock mechanism still wouldn't turn to lock in place. No big deal on it not fitting, my season ends tomorrow and I only planned on taking the bino's out so I have some time before I need another tripod plate. The quick release plate for the ss-p is only 9.95 online and I ordered it last night so should have it some time next week.
