FHF Gear and Marsupial Gear Buckle Compatibility?

Hey all,

As the title suggest, I am wondering if the buckles are compatible between FHF and Marsupial, so that I could swap out a Marsupial Bino Pouch for an FHF gear chest rig, as an example. Any insight is useful.

I run an FHF Fob Bino pack and use a Marsupial harness with it. Those two items use identical buckles. If that’s what you are asking.

Left to right. FHF Fob with Marsupial harness. FHF chest pouch with FHF harness. Marsupial Bino pack and marsupial harness.

If you overlay the marsupial and FHF harness they are almost the exact same geometry. Little different but not much. Buckles are identical and their locations are similar too.

Thanks for sharing! This definitely helps. Do you have any preference between the two harnesses?

Current plan is to get a bino pouch and harness from Marsupial since it doesn't seem like you can just buy the bino pouch, but I've heard that FHF harness that you have is more comfortable

I prefer the Marsupial harness. It’s thinner and carries more comfortably under a pack or inside of a jacket. The FHF harness has the big cushioned edges on it and they rubbed my neck bad in hot weather when wearing only a t shirt. The material they use I find to be scratchy. I swapped the harnesses with my wife before I bought my own marsupial one and she said it scratched her too.

I enjoy both Bino pouches. I prefer the Molle on the side of the FHF for mounting my RF. I ever so slightly prefer the lid mechanism of the Marsupial.

Good to know, that helps. Are you using the FHF rangefinder pouch then? I was looking at the No Mag gear from Marsupial so I'd probably grab their rangefinder pouch unless there's something I am missing for why not to haha
