Felt Color for Cinnamon Rug

Taxidermist is almost ready to finish up my cinnamon bear rug and I need to pick out a felt color. Any suggestions? Anything else cool out there?

I have no idea how your taste run so, have him show you all your option and make your choice from what he shows you. Okay to get some input but, the choice is yours.

Alot of what we have in our house is a darker color .dark woodgrain on walls and also on picture frames. Wife shot a nice cinnamon bear last year. She went with a black felt backing and a charcoal flat trim not the ruffled trim. Haven't see it yet cause it's not done .but the way I invision it will be beautiful.

I generally have them do an upholstery type backing with green/black, brown/black, or tan/black pleated felt trim.
The upholstery material is stronger and holds its shape well, and the pleated felt looks better than the flat felt with zig zag or scalloped edge cut.

I don’t have a photo but a guy I used to work with used tan with a brown outer layer on a chocolate colored bear. It looked really good.

This is a black hide with green/black. You can see the pleating I prefer. And the upholstery backing, and sewn on rings to hang.
