Going to central BC from last week of Sept-first week Oct for a hunt. It's actually for a goat but posting here because sheep guys take their ounce counts a little more serious. Fly in hunt without a basecamp. Planning on moving camp each day.

Wolves and wolverines are on the table so 20 rounds seems like a lot, but to me, a gun, ammo, and a knife are the only things bringing animals back. Willing to splurge on those as the outfitter says we'll get some whacks at predators. Also gives me a couple rifle re-checks in case of slip and falls (has happened before).

Questions- 2 pairs of socks; is that ok? Do I need another fleece layer? I'm planning for 30-45. And the coldest parts I'm in a sack, right? One more fleece layer or am I ok? Thanks in advance.

I would probably take a warmer fleece/active insulation and ditch the heavyweight hoody and maybe look to grab a warmer puffy. That LT might be a touch light for sitting and glassing in late September.

2 pairs of socks is fine.

I have a UA thermal fleece that I love. Same weight as the Sitka heavyweight just not very breathable. I'd been thinking this as well. I also have the sitka ambient but that's 10 extra ounces.
