Federal Premium Trophy Bonded Tip 30 06 180 Grain

Was bored, the day was beautiful and I felt like shooting. So I did some chrono work yesterday on a new batch of Federal Trophy Bonded Tip 30 06 180 grain ammo.

Last years batch had an average 5 shot muzzle velocity of 2665 fps. This years 4 shot batch (4 boxes all the same lot #) came in at 2705 fps, box says 2700 fps. I took 1 from each box. Weather was 85 degrees, 1200 foot elevation and calm. My Browning X Bolt Speed (22" barrel with muzzle brake) loves these rounds. Not bad!!!!!!

I am thinking about running these out of my 06, gonna get a box and see what kinda groups she can put down range. I like the ft lbs of energy these things are cranking out.
