Anyone have an opinion or experience with this ammunition? I just picked up a rifle in .270 win and am looking for ammo. This stuff seems to be the only reasonable priced ammo around currently but don’t want to waste my money if it’s garbage. The stats regarding velocity etc don’t seem terrible but I am disappointed in the BC.

It's the exact same as the federal blue box. It has always shot well and performed just like it's supposed to for me.

The 150 grain? The ballistics show it hits 1800 FPS about 350 yards. That’s pretty short for a 270.

But…

How far are you planning to hunt? Asking since if it’s within that distance you should be good for at least deer.

Could get you through this season and keep your eyes open for additional ammo over time.

Decent ammo. Standard federal cup and core, unbonded bullet. Exactly the same as the "blue box" just re-branded. I've shot quite a bit in 308 and 6.5C. It is generally very accurate. I've never killed anything big with it, just because there are other bullets I prefer. I would not hesitate to hunt with it, if it was all I had. Uncountable animals have been killed with that bullet.
