IMG_0833.jpegIMG_0834.jpegI was doing some clean up/organization of my reloading room and ran across these bullets I apparently bought at some point. I don’t recall anything about them and I likely picked them up a few years ago when components were scarce. These are the .308/168 grain light blue tip version and I can only find that they are/were loaded in the Federal LE ammo.

@Formidilosus would these bullets be worth hanging on to and using in a .308 Win for hunting; specifically for when I go to Africa for plains game?

Are these the precursor to the Terminal Ascent bullets?

Yes, if I remember correctly they are the same construction.

No- they are not precursors to Terminal Ascents. They are Tipped Trophy Bonded Bear Claws- very high weight retention, bonded bullet- deep penetration, narrow wounds. They sell/sold them for hunting and the TRU line for barrier loads for LE.

I thought I remembered you saying something about the blue tip TRU loads.

Thanks for the info.
