The father of a U12 hockey players goes out on the ice and pushes two young coaches (12 & 14 years old) to the ice. Neither were injured in the incident. I hope he gets some jail time and a healthy fine. He must realize he probably just got his son kicked off the team. WTF is wrong with people. It's a kids game for gods sake.

Not coaches...they were refs. Not that it matters much but...

At my kid’s volleyball tournaments they had signs all over the place reminding parents the line judges were kids, human, and not perfect. Crazy stuff it needs to be said outloud.

Not going to lie, the crap I've seen over the years at my kids games absolutely solidified in me that I would never ref or coach in my life, or ever criticize from the stands ever.
They're kids, playing a kids game.

I officiate wrestling and baseball. I'm big enough to take the flak. How you handle and carry yourself directly correlates to the amount of flak you have to put up with.

But kids??????? Someone should have stepped in. Ridiculous.

Being an official, parent, and coach, this doesn't surprise me. Absolutely ridiculous the way parents conduct themselves these days, all the way around. Towards their kids, the coaches and the officials. Everyone is convinced they are raising the next Ohtani. From watching a lot of sports from all sides, let me tell you, you aren't.

Do a Google search on dad attacks coach or ref and its pretty sad how many there are and that's probably just a small portion of how many happen.

Like watching my son’s club wrestling tournaments. So many parents trying to live through their kid because they never accomplished what they wanted to. Pretty disgusting to watch honestly.

Just last weekend at my daughter's 4th grade basketball tournament, the opposing coach got a technical and kicked out for swearing at and getting in the ref's face over a call. It's 4th grade basketball, not that serious fella.

My daughter played basketball in high school. both grand kids play softball and baseball, my granddaughter is still plying softball in a D1 school. They all played park league ball. the Aholes are at every level. I mean 6-8 year olds playing park level ball, and their parents go off on the official, or other parents. Great way to teach your kids sportsmanship, Effing fools.

My boy (12yo) plays hockey and some of the parents are nuts. Parents are always yelling at the refs and they are mostly just kids. I just don’t get it.

Ugh. This thread is so gross. A lot of people just suck so bad.
I feel badly for the kid of this asshole. If that guy is willing to assault children in public I shudder to think of what he's doing behind closed doors.

Dont you all know that the only thing holding back your 5 year old from going pro is that one bad call?

We are all raising D1 and pro level athletes. If the refs wouldnt make horrible calls and screw it up for us that would be great.

Dang it, he was about to sign with a pro team, then that ref had to make that call....
