Does anyone do a dedicated fall bear hunt? Or just pick up a tag and maybe harvest one while targeting elk/deer?

I hunt bear exclusively every Sept. When I fill my tag or the seasons appears to be a bust, I switch to calling elk for my friends who are archery bros. I do also sometimes go out riffle bear hunting with a buddy who has archery elk and bear tags, but my primary goal in Sept to is fill my bear tag.

It might be my favorite pursuit.

Every August when Archery opens. It is my favorite hunt also, PTO is being burned. Bear camp has grown over the years. What started as me soloing it and camping out of the back of a truck is now 5 people with RV’s. Even a couple of youth hunters in the mix now. Leaving in 2 days cant wait.

Bear hunts are my favorite. The only legal bull I saw last year when when I was rifle hunting for bear during archery elk.

Every fall in WA I target bears. One of the best opportunities in this state.

I've been out 5 times this season already, 4 of which I laid eyes on bears. I'm actually debating skipping a deer hunt to spend more time chasing fall bears in the alpine.

You'll see less dudes hunting bears, very long season, better weather, cheap tags, 2 tags in WA per person.
