There’s a guy named David that did basic game processing last year. He’s getting up there in age, but does it as a “hobby”. His address is ~1200 Bradway Rd - just east of town. Paid him $50 or $60 to keep 2 caribou worth of deboned meat in one of his chest freezers until our flight a few days later.
It was before moose season so he had plenty of room.
Hindsight 20/20 we would have had him finish the processing for us. We had a known shipper number with Alaska air cargo and he said he could have dropped them off at the airport for us after he finished the processing had we elected to do that.
Interior Alaska fish processors wanted like $400 to store the meat for a few days. I would avoid that place. Was not impressed by the young man running their operation.
