Factory Tikka stock pitch change with Limbsaver pad

I noticed a while back that the pitch (the related angle that is formed when comparing the butt to the bore) seems to change quite a bit with the addition of a Limbsaver pad on a factory Tikka stock. I like the textured Roughtech stocks and they seem to feel comfortable to me, so I've been using them after adding a Limbsaver pad. However, I can't help but think that muzzle rise would be helped considerably by cutting a bit off the top portion of the butt to change the pitch (decreasing the length to heel measurement) at least back to what it is with the factory pad, or even a bit more. Has anyone does this, and if so, did you notice a decrease in muzzle rise? I might try it with a factory black synthetic stock just to see what it does, or doesn't do.
