Has anyone tried these 88gr ELD-M flat points from Midway USA? They've bounced between 11 and 14 cents a bullet, so I was wondering how they'd do for a cheap plinking bullet for 500 yards and in.

Those would probably be pretty nasty terminally for short range hunting.

I was wondering if it would help or hurt upset with the tip broken off flush with bullet. If the tip was out it seems like it would be likely have instant upset, but the tip is really supported in the bullet with no leverage of the protruding tip would act like a clogged nose Berger I hear of?
