I'm wanting to run factory class for NRLH and looking at rifle options. Since you cannot remove a muzzle brake from a factory rifle I was Just curious what thought are on a good factory rifle that comes with a threaded cap for NRLH so a suppressor can be used. My first interest was a Seekins but seems they are all now coming with muzzle brakes attached. Tikka would be a good answer but I hate the stocks. Is it true the Waypoint from Springfield comes with both brake and thread cap? Any other ideas?

Solus?

Also, pretty sure you can take off a brake to use a suppressor. You just can’t change muzzle brakes, you have to use the factory installed, unless it comes with a cap AND muzzle brake. Then you can change the brake.

Has this rule changed?

It was the rules that got me....

So you can remove the factory brake and add a suppressor? I thought the added suppressor was for specific muzzle brakes that allowed direct attachment.

May I add an aftermarket muzzle device or suppressor?

DEPENDS.

IF your barrel comes threaded and capped from the factory, you may add an aftermarket muzzle device, including a suppressor.

IF your barrel already comes with a muzzle device from the factory, it must be used with that factory muzzle device, or with an added suppressor. Unless an identical rifle model, which has the same stock/chassis (color doesn't matter), same trigger, same components including barrel length, contour, fluting, material (stainless vs non-stainless vs carbon fiber wrapped), is offered from the manufacturer without a muzzle break, but is threaded, then you may add an aftermarket muzzle device.

IF your barrel does not come threaded, it must be left as it originally came from the factory.

Looks like I may have over read the rules. If removal of brake is good, I'm good for suppressor regardless.
Thanks much for clarification.

Actually like the UPR and the ACE just not sure on weight. 20" UPR could be good.
