Just got my email last night. So crazy that we are so excited to send out nearly $700. But I am a pack whore and can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Does one mesh pocket come with the 3500? but there are places for others?
I thought I saw that but can't find it on the website.

They do not come with mesh pockets. That's an add on. There is a velcro strip inside the main pack and another inside the lid that they will hook to. You can probably get 2 in the main lack if you want and 1 in the lid. There was an attached mesh pocket in the 2014 packs but it was changed to the more modular design for the 2015 packs.

My pack is ready to ship!
Quick question that may have been answered through these 64 pages, but has anyone packed without the meat shelf? I assume that you can still cinch up your load without the meat shelf? This is not to make a decision about the extra $20 on an investment. This is just a question on what the pack is capable of.

You definitely don't have to have the meat shelf to pack meat but it does help improve how a heavy load feels and carries. Also if you do a lot of de-boning meat it gives you a solid shelf for that to sit on.

I do really appreciate everyone's comments on the customer service. We definitely were far from perfect last year and some guys have every reason to be upset with us, I can't blame them for that. Last year took off way faster than we were anticipating and frankly we just weren't organized enough and ready for it. It was quite the roller coaster and it didn't matter how many hours we worked there was no way we could respond to every single email/message/phone call/etc in a timely manner.

We are a very small company (Lenny, myself and my sister) and do our best to keep up with everything, sometimes its pretty hard to do so and we aren't always perfect but are working hard every day to get better and better. Last year was by no means a reflection of who we actually are and who we want to be.

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks. That's good to know

The video "Pack Changes for 2015" mentions a mesh pocket is included. I'm guessing that complicated getting the packs out since they might have to wait on the pockets.

It was an honest mistake in the video by Mark with Sole Adventure. It happens, but no, the packs do not come with a pocket. So order the number you want when you place the order. They were in stock as of a week ago.

I've done it and it worked great for me without the meat shelf. I kept the bottom of the pack cinched tight to the frame so the meat couldn't slip down. Basically with the top of the pack pulled away from the frame it creates a V so there is more meat up higher. The picture below is what my pack looked like right after I took it off back at the truck. This is 70# of boned out meat between the bag and frame. As you can see, it stayed high for the whole 4 1/2 mile pack out.

Yep, 3 bulls packed out as well with no shelf, worked awesome! This year picked up the meat shelf to test out. Make sure you raise pack up high with a load & drop it down when under 35# or so, makes a big difference & simple to do. This is an awesome pack!

+1 on the 5500. I have had the new 3500 for a few months and it seems to be more of a 3 day bag for me. Wish I would have gone with the 5500 and compressed it down when the extra space wasn't needed.

I've been using the new 3500 for a few months. Other than wishing I would've gone with the larger 5500 bag, I've really enjoyed it and think it is the best pack I've ever owned. So far, I do not have any concerns about the durability of the stretch material. I have put a variety of hard objects in it such as keys, box calls, turkey decoys/stakes. cans, gps, etc... w/o any problems.

Didn't do much of a hike because mom wasn't here to make sure she was doing ok, but she was happy as a clam just walking around the yard a few minutes.

Just an update for everyone and good news for a change. We have Multicam 3500's in stock and ready to ship!

Coyote and Foliage 3500's aren't too far behind, just a few weeks. 5500's we'll have a very small supply of here shortly but should be stocked up by late July.
