Exo Mountain Gear larger bag size vote:

We are in the process of designing and building the larger bag right now and wanted to get everyone's opinions on which size to make the larger bag. 4800-5500-6000?

You can definitely make the case that bigger is better but that will come with a weight penalty and typically if you have the space you'll pack more gear which just makes your pack heavier. What's everyone's thoughts?

You already have a 3500 bag, the 4800 is still in that same "league" if you ask me. I like 6000 the best but 5500 would be acceptable. You might get more Alaskan sales if you go for the 6000 bag...?

Thanks for the feedback Mike. From the vote so far on facebook 6000 definitely is the clear winner. I do think we could get by with the 5500 and the fact that you carry meat between the bag and frame and not in the bag.

6000. 4800 is barely bigger then 3500, the weight difference from 5500 to 6000 is minimal I'm sure. No reason to not go with the bigger size.

6000ci. I want the space even if I don't use it. That's what compression straps are for IMO.

I use about 4500 when packing my cold weather gear, less with the fair weather setup. Putting my spotter and/or extra gear like trail camers, stoves, etc. takes up the rest of the 4800.

If your talking about just the main bag 5000 is good, the other pockets and compartments will swallow up a lot of gear. A main compartment that easily fits a full TAG bag or even 2 would be a good size

We definitely won't scratch the 3500, want to keep a small/light bag for day trips and the lightweight guys.

I would say go to both extremes - 3500 and 6000. Then you make the light weight/day hunt guys happy and have the option for the one big bag following.

So how long until we will have a multi-cam option in the big bag? I really like the idea behind your frame but want to be able to use it more than just backcountry hunts now that I am heading to the east coast.
