Long story short, because it is so comfortable, I really wanted to take it on my Colorado Trail thru hike. I anticipated I would be carrying around 40 # (all in with 7 days of food and 2 liters of water). But I ended up being in the 25 to 30 range, so it just didn't make sense to carry that much pack.
