Exo K4 rifle carrier on K3 pack

I just got the new K4 rifle carrier and I’m trying to attach it to my K3 4800 but I’m having some trouble with the upper attachment. Anyone else tried putting this on a K3 pack?

The upper attachment should be exactly the same for the k3.

(I don’t have a k4 but out the k4 strap on my k3)
