Exo K4 Pack Accessories

I use two hip pouches, 2 stash bags for med kit and survival gear. I will be getting a few more stash bags, crib panel, and a regular Nalgene holder. I also have their rifle carrier and really like it. It stays tight to the pack and it’s easy to reach back and release the buckle. I don’t mind taking my pack off to put the rifle back on since my pack is off anyways if I’m going to set up to shoot.

The Nalgene holder is great. I use an FHF hip pouch (right side) because it has hook and loop inside. I can then stick a hook and loop cartridge or diaphragm call holder inside depending on season. I like being able to pull the extra cartridges or calls and stuff them in a pocket if I need to dump the pack for a stalk.
I replaced 2 buckles with locking buckles, mainly for peace of mind with my bow or spotter/tripod attached. I bought 2 of the bags that clip into the side panel pockets for med kit and kill kit. That’s basically it. On my left hip I’ll either have a mole locked pistol harness(cross draw) while bow hunting or a small marsupial pouch for small misc items while gun hunting. I don’t run a rifle carrier or even put a sling on my rifle, it’s always carried, either in hand or African style over my shoulder. Too many close bear encounters over the years!

Kifaru gun bearer lower and Slik Sling upper are the bees knees IMO
I use a stone glacier lower and slick sling upper. I mounted the stud directly to pack strap with a bolt and washer instead of using the janky wrap around stud holder that moved around on my pack. Works very very wellIMG_1455.JPG

I have a hip pouch (1), Nalgene holder, a couple of stash pockets, rifle holder and switched everything to locking buckles. I have the smaller pack and use it as a day pack. (I'm pretty sure my overnight days are behind me.) I have just switched to the tall Nalgene but, I haven't taken it out yet. (In the past, I would carry the small Nalgene on my hip and another in the pack. I hope with the tall, I will be able to get thru the day with just the one bottle.) I'm not too happy with the gun holder, It works but, it is a little cumbersome (for me). I think I'll explore other options that are listed on this thread... And that's why I love these Rokslide forums!!!

Also, I currently run the top straps for holding down the antlers/head (when and if I'm successful). I bought a lid (the small pack doesn't come with a lid) thinking it would be easier to hold the head down. But, after thinking about it, I probably won't use it. The straps work fine and, for my style of hunting, I don't need the extra space the lid provides.
Also, if you are buying add-ons, grab some t-shirts. They're cheep and look cool!
