After trying several types of kydex holsters for the Molle hipbelt attachments on the K4, I’ve found my favorite option so far. EXO steers customers towards Ivory holsters, yet they do not offer an option for a weapon mounted light, which is always on my gun. If I’m carrying a sidearm on a backpack hunts, it’s either if I am bow hunting or hunting on Kodiak island. Both of those hunts are late season and have a high chance of hiking in the dark.

The Blackpoint Tactical Leather Wing.
Ordered it for my Sig AXG Legion 365 w/ TLR-7 HLX light with optic. The retention is perfect.
With the belt loop straps it makes for a comfortable OWB holster.

I ordered the Molle attachments for an additional $15 at the time of order. I can remove the leather wings and attach these directly to the kydex, which then matches up perfectly to the width of the outer Molle attachments on the hipbelt.

Thank you! Do those molle sticks lock in good?

I'll have to check fitment this evening... I have a couple blackpoint leather wing holsters and I do enjoy them :-)

I believe Razco used to make an exo holster... I used it last year and preferred it to the ivory due to the weapons light.

That said, the open sided nature of that holster let a lot of debris in so I'm looking for an enclosed, light bearing holster set up for this year.

Edit - Razco makes a pack mount that will work for the exo... I like the mount and may consider a different shell.

In this case, you have to free up one side of the hipbelt just for the holster, and move one or both pouches to the other side?
I'm currently looking for a compatible, low-profile holster that can fit on the hipbelt alongside a pouch,

I've run the Razco and would also highly recommend it. But, personally, I've stopped using a hip-belt holster and switched to a bino-harness holster. Even though the weight on the harness is not as nice to carry as the hip-belt, I prefer it in case I take my pack off to glass or to go on a stalk.

Plus, every time you take the pack off, your pistol is going to get some sort of debris or dirt on it. Mine got so bad last season that the laser from the open emitter red dot got blocked. I've since switched to a closed emitter red dot, but I still don't like tossing my self-defense weapon onto the ground.

If you are willing to add a very small amount of weight, you could run Razco's ROMR system and have the backer plate attached to the pack and the bino harness. Then you can run it on your pack, then swap the entire holster to you harness if leaving your pack behind.

Very good point, thank you.
I tend to care less in the heat of the moment and just toss my backpack when I’m stacking or trying to get to a certain location to glass quickly. More than once, I’ve forgotten to grab my sidearm, which really frustrates me when I realize it halfway through the process. It’s something I’m working on.

I haven’t tried a bino harness holster yet, but I’m planning to give it a shot on my local hunt before heading out west.

That is the best alternative to the Razco holster. It probably carries better since it is higher up.

Has anyone tried the Guardian chest plate with the Stone Glacier sentinel bino harness? The side attachment looks to be a problem?

As it is currently they don't fit. I've made some for Ryan Avery and a couple other people to test but I'm not in love with how they mount. Should know tomorrow whether or not I'll have a better fix that I'm going to be selling. You're also slightly limited on which accessory you would want to put on that side to not impede your draw. Rangefinder would be okay but more than that I wouldn't suggest.

Awesome, let us know when you have this style refined.

@mxgsfmdpx

Orange is exclusive through unknown Black is exclusive through S&S currently.

JC custom kydex ( @CareyJAF50 ) has great holster shells that work perfect for it if you don't already have one.

Thanks for sharing. I have almost purchased an ivory holster a few times but always stop when I realize they don’t have light options.

@Dioni A are you one making the chest plate attachment? Any inquiries yet about a compatible option for the next level hunter bino harness?

Yes. Deadfall design is my company and I'm manufacturing most of it. EXO mountain gears sew shop is making the straps for me.

Just looked that up and it looks like it should work great with the guardian.
