Ok. Would you happen to know the difference between the this and the k4? How does it compare to the SG krux and x curve frames and packs in the similar size or the new MR metcalf with newly designed ultralight guide lite frame. These are the three packs I’m considering and a good used one would be nice.
If the K3 is not much different it may be a good option for me as I’m trying to stay as economical as possible in the high dollar pack game.
I know nothing about Exo packs or all the high dollar packs so sorry for the questions.

The Exo and Mystery Ranch I can tell you about. I have some Stone Glacier gear never used their pack but I've heard they're solid. I've packed over 40 elk out using various packs and the MR or EXO definitely are at the top. I've owned 4 or 5 of each MR and EXO packs both for my son and I. My hunting buddies run EXOs as well. I don't the difference from the K3 and the K4 other than the module aspect. I don't know how Steve could make the frame much better. The MR with the new frame is solid as well. My mountain whitetail pack is a MR with a mule bag. Very compact and I dont have to use straps to condense the volumeof the pack. My elk packs are EXOs I feel like spike camp situations pack better plus the weight seems to be distributed better with super heavy loads. But both will work great if you load then correctly. I hope this helps on those two brands. I just have several packs just trying to clean out stuff not being used.

I’ve owned all the packs you mention. The K3 is great, and I 100% regret selling mine. Best thing you can do is find one a try it on, because it all comes down to your fit and torso height. I’m a short torso long leg guy and the K3 worked great.

Yeah it would be nice to be able to try them on but unfortunately there is not a store within 100 miles that carries all three.
What’s that difference between the k3 and k4? Lots of times it. S minor additions.
Seems like most lean towards exo on the comfort department. Thanks
