I was curious on how long it would take for someone to misunderstand or make a false assumption on the purpose of the post. As this is a free country, yet, people can be "conservative" or "liberal" of their own choosing. I love to hunt, it doesn't make a difference as to weapon, just give me the time, money and opportunity. Some people are more specific as to weapon choice for their own reasons, and thanks to this being a free country, that is their choice. I'm not interested in "labeling" people, especially hunters, as we need to stick together regardless of political afillation, "conservative"/"liberal" leanings. My point and purpose for the post was to challenge people's perspective of "why". May not make sense to some, but it does to me.

Solid insight! However, part of me thinks the labeling aspect of things makes a difference to the non-hunter.....

for example - today I showed a clip to a friend at work who is a non-hunter and has taken interest in this thread..... I showed him a clip of a Bone Collector interview video series about working white tail..... and then I showed him something similar from a Donnie Vincent video.......

Can you guess which style of hunter was more interesting to the non-hunter? and why? is that what needs to get duplicated?

This is a strange divisive thread.

I am an avid bow hunter that occasionally hunts with a gun but don't really care for firearms hunting anymore. This is just my preference and makes me no more or less of a man/hunter than one that chooses a firearm as his preferred method of taking game. For the sake of the original post I am republican/conservative in my political values but I'm leaning more and more libertarian all the time.

To each their own and may god speed your game to a quick painless demise regardless of your preferred weapon.

You do come off as someone that thinks your style is better then everyone that doesn't hunt like you. Your logic is flawed because there are way more hunters that sit in deer stands and shoot whitetails then guys like you and I that pack into the wilderness. Do I find Donny Vincents stuff more interesting then Wadell's? Of course I do. Does that mean my way is better or should be the only hunter view point shown to the public? Of course not. Maybe you should explain to your non hunting buddies how both styles serve a purpose and contribute to conservation. Explain to them that both styles of hunting provide meat that was ethically harvested. Your way of hunting would not be possible without the millions of guys that choose to hunt differently then you do. So please stop coming up with reasons and examples of why your way is better and should be the example we put forth to the public. The back country hunts guys like you and I do are a small percentage of the hunts done in America every year.

The OP to this thread reads like an anti trolling to divide hunters. Just my thoughts.
