They discuss how powerful the internet is in shaping our opinions and the ‘why’ these algorithms are so dangerous.

Besides the examples they give it can be applied to everything. We need to retain our critical thinking skills…AND protect our kids from these algorithms that can literally wreck young minds.

I think the point is; Lets not allow the noise to interrupt our common sense and critical thinking skills.

In everything…and lets make our impressionable kids aware.

Sure,this forum is great ( and fun) for debating the minutia of bullets, gear, arrows, whatever…and use what makes you feel good …..but common sense tells us its just that- Minutia.

The idea that the govt knows best and the media is truthful is hilarious.

Was so funny when folks said - I did my research and xxx. They googled something and read what google told them. Or some book that supported what they wanted to believe anyway. Or some "expert" that has the same lean.

Yes - the conspiracy stuff does overstep its bounds too. Example: They said the vaxxed people would die in 2 years. Still waiting on that one.

Who is jocko? And why should I listen to him? Is he a good influencer? All I pay attention to anymore is the Bible, hunting, fishing, and shooting. I gave up all news over a year ago and I feel my life has improved greatly since. Between all the freak shows on the left and conspiracies on the right I decided I have had enough and that the odds of me changing anything in that realm are very slim. I will do some research when the next election rolls around, vote, then get back to God, family, and the great outdoors. P.S. I wonder how this Jocko character makes money?

LOL. Remember when duck dynasty became a TV show and before long every wal-mart end cap had a duck dynasty branded something or other? Jocko is getting to be kind of like that on a smaller scale but remains very likable. Podcast, leadership training, author, energy drinks, clothes, etc.

I'm pretty right leaning and I could envision a scenario in which I vote for her....BUT her change of heart on the 2A seems suspicious to me. It's going to take some time for me to buy that one.

Then the internet algos feed us an echo chamber of material partial to whichever way we are leaning.
