Any recommendations for a daily use backpack that can also work as a “personal item” for travel?

I ran an Oakley kitchen sink for a decade while flying for work. I replaced it with a made in USA camelbak bfm.....which is awesome.

Hunting use at all?

I use a Kuiu Divide 1200 pretty much on a daily basis for hiking and also for travel. I've had it for a few years and it seems to be holding up well. I've used it multiple times as a carry on. It'll hold a weeks worth of surf fishing tackle and a couple 4000 size reels, along with a bunch of other crap.

I’ve used the Kifaru checkpoint backpack for about 6 years now I believe…

It’s finally showing its age after seeing nearly every continent, almost always overloaded with work supplies, laptops, tablets, clothing, etc.

Dedicated laptop sleeve and mesh has held up well. Overall the bag and straps have done well. The grab handle became a weak point before my wife reinforced it.

The thin plastic sleeve to make it more rigid doesn’t always allow it to “fit underneath the seat in front of you” as the flight attendants always demand loudly when I’m trying to sleep before take off. So some airplanes it will need to go in the bins above (which they get upset about on some airlines).

Al in all, it’s been a great work/travel/every day carry backpack for the last several years.

I think they were running a July 4th sale, it must've ended yesterday. I purchased mine for $50 last year in November I believe.

I use a yeti crossroads backpack. Tough as nails. I have the bigger one and taken weekend trips with everything in it as my carry on or fit it under the seat on flights.
