Ever have a serious issue with your bow while wayyy back

I shoot a stick so my bow issues while back 3 miles from the rig are not as serious....I think, as a compound shooter might have. Unless you carry the equip. and are mechanical to some degree. My bow was cracked last year discovered by a buddy while we were glassing, so that gets pretty serious.....as in I have to come down off the mountain. You??
This could be like talking about the bad words "target panic" ...don't think about it and it won't happen.

So far I have been pretty lucky. I did damage a string on a back pack hunt, but I figured it would last a couple shots if needed, which it did. No other issues though.
