I didn’t know this was a thing, but apparently it is a thing? Totally bizarre. And, despite being a rather logical guy and having a bit of a background as a butcher, I couldn’t imagine having any desire to perform this process on my own dog.

My mother had a long-haired Chihuahua that we joked about making key chains from his little Grinch feet... but it was a joke.

I can't imagine looking at my dog's skull and not feeling gross, but I have had a couple of taxidermists tell me they get these type of requests regularly.

I can't imagine ever caring enough about a dog to keep any part of him after death. Let the coyotes eat him and distribute his bones.

Seems like if a person was going to do this they would also get the hide tanned.
