Looking for a smith to thread a Tikka T3 x superlite barrel in 223 any recommendations close to Eureka NV?

Thanks

Best guy I know of close to Eureka is in Fallon - Paul Hampton, at Country Custom Metalsmithing. He did a barrel cut and thread for me on a light sporter barrel, which was narrow enough to need a shoulder fabricated, along with thread protector. Excellent work.

I would second that recommendation. He recently did two Tikka barrels for me that I’m happy with. Now if I can only get the suppressors in to test them with…

Am I seeing this correctly - that he end-fluted the shoulder he fabricated, and timed it to match the flutes in the barrel?
Yes, that is what he did by my understanding. I believe he had to thread the barrels to 1/2x28 after cutting them because they were too thin there to thread to 5/8x24, then added an adaptor that was already at that threading or he cut to that threading post installation as well as matched the fluting.

I really like how it turned out.

That's some bad-ass work there. He was a professional machinist before he shifted over to gunsmithing, and it really shows in stuff like this.

Agreed! I saw some work he did on another thread here and it impressed me enough to reach out to him. I thought it looked better than just doing a straight cut at the end of the flutes.

Although it'll probably be hidden behind an OTB suppressor (if I can make up my mind between the OG65 and the OG30)... I'll know it's there though. :ROFLMAO:
