I've been wearing electronic earmuffs for awhile and am trying something new. The earmuffs are great for occasional shooting but are bulky and inconvenient in the field.

Experiencing significant hearing loss since I was a teenager, I take hearing protection very seriously.

I received the ESP Apex this week and will provide my honest review.

Let me know if you have any questions about their performance, fit, sound amplification, etc.

I've worn my pair for several outings training the dogs so far, and on jogs to see how secure they are. Pretty easy to get the volume correct to avoid picking up a lot of grass/brush swishy sounds, and comfy secure so far as well.

Wow, those are not cheap.

I would love to know about warrantee and how durable they are.

One use case I struggle with for ear pro is hunting the temperate rainforests of Washington (think SE AK jungle). Still hunting you need to be able to hear (can't have plugs in all the time), rarely can sneak plugs in before a shot, added length of a suppressor is a pain, risk of damaging expensive suppressors is high, and the rainforest ruins everything but especially electronics.

I was told many people wear these all day and forget they are in. I plan to test that because I hate hearing every crunch.
