Epoxy gone bad??

My wife just got into archery. Her bow is set to 32# so she can get the basics nailed down. I cut her arrows, cleaned the insides and used the Easton 2 part epoxy, and black eagle carbon arrows. I've had the epoxy for 6ish year in my climate controlled house

Took the wife out to shoot and naturally she missed the target a few times and had about 4 direct impact shots into an aluminum ramp that i was using to protect the garage in the event of a target miss.. Arrows bounced right off it and didn't break BUT the inserts popped out by like a 1/4". Is this the epoxy not having adherance because its old or is it just breaking free because the arrow is moving slow enough for the bond to be broken and not trash the arrow(plus no lateral force on the arrow)

I've never seen epoxy fail without trashing the arrow because the bond is so strong
 
1. May be the epoxy.

2. How you cleaned the arrows also could be the issue. Even after using something like acetone, I may go back with water/qtip...

3. Lastly, was there enough time to cure? Can be the third possibility.

Lots of cure time.. 2 weeks to be exact lol

I already built the full dozen so we'll see what happens in regards to longevity, but i have a dozen arrows i'm throwing together for myself; so I may scuff up the inside of the arrows with some sandpaper to make sure there is good adhesion when I epoxy them.
 
I've had trouble with some brands of arrows and the Easton HIT glue, and BE is one of them. I started using golf club 2-part epoxy that's black, and haven't had an issue in any arrow since.

I’ve used 2 part export for years and the only arrows I’ve ever had inserts pull out of were BE’s also. Hmm
 
I had on inserts that wouldn’t quite set with 2 year old Easton epoxy. I ordered some new and had zero issues after that. I replace every year now.
All that being said, I’ve tried BE arrows twice and had issues with inserts coming out both times. I tried Easton epoxy and Gorilla glue 2 part, neither seemed to work so just went back to Easton/Victory arrows.
 
Put it in the fridge right after you buy it, and back in the fridge after use.
 
so today the wife was shooting today and 4 more inserts literally pulled out and stayed in the target. The epoxy bonded to the insert but didn't partially stick to the arrow shafts. definitely going to rough up the inside with a piece of 220 grit amd re-epoxy them. it wqs almost as if the inside ofthe shaft had a no stick surface

No idea on this newer stuff, but my old golf club epoxy I used for over 20 years on clubs without any performance issues. And at 6'6" with long arms, I can generate some serious club head speed.......I've never had a head come loose. So I expect the same for my inserts.
 
I have had 3 insert pull out in targets in the last month using Easton 2 part epoxy. Safe to say I am switching to something else.

All arrows are cut, scored with a barrel cleaner and then cleaned with acetone and H2O.
