enLIGHTened equipment Enigma now in WIDE sizes

Well done time....let me know when you build the a reg, 2Xwide version for my wife and I to cuddle together in....get that baby to come in 24 or so oz in a 10 degree and We'll be sleeping WAY comfy!

XWIDE 64" size is in the works for Jan, its big! A modular system that can work for one two or ten is in the works for March. A little heavier but very adaptable.

Right on Tim...look forward to seeing the modular system!

Taking the 10 degree quilt next week to Southeast Alaska....but have had your quilts from the Brooks Range, Alaska Range, Talkeetna Range, Kodiak thus far this year....the work like a champ. Looking forward to continue to use your products sir!!

Thanks Luke. I'm glad your getting to use them, they like being used.

I love that I get to spend my time building products that let people do what they love and stay warm and shed pounds at the same time.

You'd think its not an area where innovations can be made but I feel like I have a breakthrough every day.

0 degree water resistant down quilt for under 23 ounces, I like that. :)

With an Xtherm pad I can get my sleep system to weigh just a hair less than my current sleeping bag weighs by itself.

I'm pretty excited about how light we got it too. I have no idea how ill ever improve on that but that's a problem for 2 years from now.

Thanks Tim,

I think the double wide 64" could be the ticket....we made this 58" wide 20 degree bag work for several nights away from the man camp together, but an extra 6" wider would be about perfect!!! Save a 64" wide 10 degree Enigma for us!!!

Here is a less than flattering pic of Becca just before I grab chair/pad to sleep on and snuggle in for the night on the left side of her:

64" is XWIDE just to be clear. I don't have templates for those yet but by jan at the very latest. I can only do a small batch of waterjet cutting at a time as it takes me forever to get them drawn up while running the show

Tim,

I meant XWide....but for us it might as well be a double wide;)

Tim...that isn't our main camp...its the GoLite Shangri-La 5 that we use as bivy shelter in case we decide to spike out away from our other tipi in which we use a nest inside...really haven't had much of a need for a ground sheet as of yet between my legs/feet our packs and our torsos on the chair/pad combo deal you see on the right side of the pic we fold flat to sleep on.

That pic was taken up in the Brooks range in August.

Luke,

What are you running for shelters now?

I thought you were using a Mega tarp as a bivy shelter and the SL-5 as your main camp.

I also remember you mentioning the SL-5 isn't nearly as heavy as Golite says it is.

What are the weights for the various components?

I'm guessing from your post you are running two SL-5's, one with pole and nest as a base and a second SL-5 shell as a bivy shelter?

I have a pile of Shelters....really I feel I need 2 SL-5s and call it good. but I have a Nemo Penalite and GoLite SL-5 are what get used the most.
