Everybody likes different things. Just don't drop 100 bucks on a pair of pants right away. Buy some cheap ones from academy or walmart until you've done the job for a few months then you can reevaluate.

I’ve been doing the job for 15 years.

I currently wear. 5/11 stryke or under armour enduro pants. (They quit making them ). The Strykes are decent just seeing what else there is out there and I figured you guys know your technical clothing.

I’ve been on the job for a while. I wear 5.11 apex pant. Super comfy and durable.

5.11's. I believe they're tac lites. I've been wearing 5.11's for years.

I'd hate to know that I had to wear Pranas or any other stretch fit type pant on duty.

27 years in, believe it or not, Galls branded ems pants are my favorite by far. On sale about 25 bucks, don't fade, elastic waistband, tough, fit great in the crotch. My company supplies uniforms but I still fork over my own dough for better fitting pants.

My company supplies 5/11 pants however I’m not sure the style but they are extremely thick and too heavy to wear.

Eddie Bauer usually has a 40-50% off sale around any holiday. La police gear makes some decent pants for a good price. The 2 pair I have are a little thick for summer though but they have several styles.
