Do these bother you when you have the gun slung over your shoulder? Especially the short attachments?
No, hasn’t been an issue for me.Do these bother you when you have the gun slung over your shoulder? Especially the short attachments?
I’m looking at doing the same thing with a SRS mini on a Stockys Howa mini carbon fiber stock. Was there any trick to drilling the holes in the stock? Worried about messing up the carbon fiber.
I just drilled slow with light pressure and had no problem.I’m looking at doing the same thing with a SRS mini on a Stockys Howa mini carbon fiber stock. Was there any trick to drilling the holes in the stock? Worried about messing up the carbon fiber.
@turbobrick - I'm looking at doing something similar to the 3rd rifle in your picture, where the picatinny rail 1st screw would replace the sling stud, and then the rest would need to be drilled. Did you just screw into the CF, or drill and thru-bolt them into the barrel channelI just drilled slow with light pressure and had no problem.
I used t-nuts, SRS included them with the rail IIRC.@turbobrick - I'm looking at doing something similar to the 3rd rifle in your picture, where the picatinny rail 1st screw would replace the sling stud, and then the rest would need to be drilled. Nah, I didn’t. I ended up hating the way it felt to hand carry and just learned to shoot off trekking poles instead of a tripod.@atmat did you end up cutting into the stock and embedding the arca rail?
Ive talked to someone at stockys and they said no problem cutting into the stock, im going to do my vg2 w a henderson rail.
I feel you there, its definitely not the most comfortable, the stability for long shots off the tripod is worth it for me thoughNah, I didn’t. I ended up hating the way it felt to hand carry and just learned to shoot off trekking poles instead of a tripod.
