Elite Energy 32 experience

Is anyone here running an elite energy 32 with the 80# limbs? I know hoyt and consequently the brand of bow I shoot though much older is the popular choice, but with in the next year I want to upgrade my bow and doing some research. I have nothing against Hoyt just branching out to other companies and get some feed back good or bad.

So instead of creating a new thread I figured i just add on to it.

I am looking for roksliders opinions with the newer bows (any manufacter) as I have been so far removed from the archery scene for a while.

I have decided to stick with the 60-70lbs limbs I just have better choices, I shoot a maxed out 70Lb now.

With doing a little internet research I rediscoverd Darton bows and their new lineup has me really interested.

Anybody here have real world expereince with Darton Bows?

No experience with Darton (man, its about time they step back up, they havent been relevant in the archery world for 15-20 years).

I switched to Elite last year after shooting basically a Mathews Switchback for six years and im really really liking them. Im more of a "shootability" over "speed" kind of guy though. I like smooth and forgiving which the Elites provide, in spades.

I'll play. I shoot a E35. Came from a jumpy Mathews. I love the thing. I hated my Z7. My elite isn't fast, but it is accurate. I can hold full draw for my personal best duration. It just stays back against the solid wall so easy.

It is a great hunting bow. My shoulder is rarely sore after range sessions. Glad i got the 70 limbs. I don't need 60's yet. Not with this bow.

I also have an Elite.

I switched from Hoyt to Elite two years ago and the difference is amazing.

To answer your first post, I shot my Alphamax with 80 lbs limbs and my new Elite has 80 lbs limbs as well. With the solid backwall and draw cycle, shooting 80 lbs with the Elite is much easier than the Hoyt.

I made the switch too. I pick mine up next week. Got an Energy 32 with the 80 lb limbs...shot it in right hand loved it so I ordered one in left. Like others I switched from Mathews.

I shot both the energy 35 and 32 today. These were the first elites I have ever shot. All I have to say is WOW! I will be ordering an 80 energy 32 within the next week most likely. The energy 32 @ 70lbs draws easier than my bowtech destroyer 340 @60. Night and day difference making the switch. I want to shoot the faktor and cs but I doubt they will impress me like the elites!

I shot a bunch of bows this spring, including the Hoyt CS34 and Factor 34. I ended up buying the Bowtech Experience. This was coming from a Mathews Q2. I absolutely love it. It is very fast, simply dead in my hand at the shot, and has a nice draw cycle. The valley is a little shorter than what I'm used to, but it's not much of an issue after shooting it for a few weeks.

There are a lot of VERY nice bows out there nowadays, and this is one of them.

I must say the Energy series are my favorite Elites to date and I have owned quite a few. I do have a Max-1 Energy 32 coming with 70# limbs and should be shipping on Monday. Have tuned quite a few lately and they are tuning up very well. I really like that new riser design in conjunction with the adjustable cable rod. It makes for a stiffer riser, which is a plus for a 2 track cam system and the adjustable cable rod is much needed on a 2 track system.

Don't overlook Athens as well. They are a smaller company but their quality, shoot ability and cs are tough to beat!! You can get a couple of their models in 80 lbs limbs as well. Also their custom shop gives you unlimited choices!

The Elite's seem to be a favorite this year.

The biggest reason for me wanting to upgrade my bow is simply a smoother draw cycle, noise and vibration. The newer bows are so much quieter, easier to pull, and of the few I have shot dead in the hand. While I, like most want a quick bow I am not hung up on the all out speed of the bow and any newer bow will be quicker than what I have now anyway. My hoyt is about 10 years old as it is, and will most likely keep my next bow that long or longer.

I will have to give a closer look at the Elite's

Keep the real world suggestions coming, that is what matters to me, real hunters telling of what they used or have experience with.

I switched to Elite last year.

If they keep going the way they're going, I think they'll be bleeding more and more sales off the "big" names in the coming years.

I shot Mathews for years, but IMO, if you buy a new Mathews now, youre just buying the name.
