Anybody have any insight on what elevation/terrain bears are typically found at in the fall in the mountains of the North East? I've heard some people say to look in the steepest, rockiest areas you can find, and others say theyre in the low flat areas. I've only been able to take short 3 day trips to hunt them each year for the past 4 years and in that time I've seen 3 bears that have all been small and have mostly been right about half way up the mountain. 2 of them were in flatter areas and 1 was in a pretty steep spot. Just trying to get a better idea of where I should be spending my time
