I have the need for an elevated rest. I want a cushion plunger if possible. What is a good hunting setup that is rugged and functional?

In no particular order, tradtech titan, Morrison Phoenix, sky archery crossfire, bernardini mamba or cobra. I've shot all of these and they are drilled for plungers, all metal ILF risers.

For longbow you could try the A & H metal risers, I haven't shot this one yet.

Hey Frank check out my Tradtech Titan 3 with a Traps Feather rest. Great setup. Shoots great and is very well made.

Edit: I missed the part that you wanted a plunger. My bad. I suppose you could still run the Plunger with this feather rest. It puts the arrow right where the Plunger hole is.

I thought about drilling another hole down next to the shelf.

Sorry franklin, I totally missed the question. I shoot beiter plungers off of an AAE rest. I've hunted with this setup and have never had a problem. However, the only reason I shoot the beiter is because I string walk and can change my tune easily with the beiter. For the money the cartel plungers are excellent.

I have not shot the one you posted above.

Thanks, guys. PJG, have you got a picture?

These are on a Bernardini Nilo riser. Nothing compares to Italian aluminum when it comes to barebow risers, love this riser.

I am planning on it this year. I used the same plunger and rest on a smaller (17") riser last year, 62" bow. This year I went to a longer riser (25") with shorter limbs, 66" bow. So far I am really liking the 66" setup, but I still need to spend more time with it in the timber just to make sure the extra length is manageable. I don't tree stand or blind hunt so I'm pretty sure the extra length will be OK.

Nice looking rig. Do you hunt with it?

I shoot a Spigarelli rest with an X Spot plunger. Works really well. My hunting setup last year was a NAP Centerest flipper rest.

I've used one of these with good results when I owned a DAS Kinetic. Because it's short, be sure to check your bow's centershot to ensure it fits your specific riser.

It's short and durable. Just need a way to quiet the tip of the plunger. For me, it made a light squeaky, noise against my carbon arrow on the draw. I had to glue on felt to mine.
