My experience with the ELDX bullets have been inconsistent. My son shot a small white tail buck entered on the point of the closer shoulder and penciled all the way through and came out the opposite rear ham. About 125 yards 143 ELDX (creedmoor) factory ammo (2650FPS ish) one shot kill tho.
Elk 212g ELDX (300 PRC 2860FPS) mature cow broad side 200 yards wrecked, lots of bloodshot on entry side (hit rib on entry) traditional mushroom bullet in off side hide. One shot kill.
Elk again 5x6 bull 212g ELDX (300 RUM 3050FPS) 822 yards six shots, five hits all in vital area (it happens man, but shoot till he's down) no bullets recovered all pretty much straight through.
Elk spike 212g ELDX (300 rum 3100FPS) 250 yards broadside again wrecked entrance side lots of bloodshot on rib area. Only a piece of jacket recovered. One shot kill.
Elk mature cow 147g ELDM (Creedmoor 2670FPS factory ammo) 200 yards broadside (one in each side) lungs destroyed minimal bloodshot, zero tracking.
No info for the 140s, I'm not help there
