Ejection into windage turret

I have an older browning x bolt, originally in 7mm wsm but recently barreled to 7mm Sherman short. It’s consistently had issues if wracked briskly ejecting straight up into the windage turret and the casing coming back into the action. I have a Trijicon accupower 2.5-10 in high rings and the problem still happens, although not as frequent once I went to high rings. Any recommended fixes? I was thinking a scope with a smaller profile elevation turret like a S&B klassik or maybe just suck it up and go extra high rings.

I have seen people turn the elevation into windage and have turret on the left side
I have seen that suggested elsewhere, but I would like a scope with exposed elevation turret so I don't think this will work out.

I ended up getting a 20MOA rail and that seemed to help. The brass typically skips of the rail instead of hitting the turret and back into the action.
