The price of eggs has had zero affect on my life. The price of bacon on the other hand has been crazy to see how much it has gone up the last couple years.

What are you feeding them?

A mix of store bought feed and feed we produce ourselves. Micro greens/ grubs/ worms. Our hens produce more than we can eat. So we supply a few neighbors as well. They end up covering most of if not all of the cost of feed. Works out pretty well.

Never thought a steak and eggs meal would be economized by dialing up the steak and doing fewer eggs. We saw prices approach $1 per egg here for a while ($49.99 for 5 dozen was the one that make my eyes pop).

With 6 kids we use a couple dozen for a big breakfast.
