EE quilts

Question, does your card get charged when you order or when your quilt is ready to ship? It is applications season ya know :)

I was hoping for the option of having a 0* or 10* quilt on mass drop. I'm not sure if a 20* is going to cut it. I'm a cold sleeper and am going to be at 12,000 ft plus in Colorado in mid to late September. Temps vary a lot. Any advise?

Twindaddy, probably plenty of guys have multiple quilts at different temperature ratings but I only wanted one, and I made up my mind that it would be the 20 deg. For colder weather I have options of adding a down jacket and pants which I would have with me anyway for glassing.

Could also layer: http://www.enlightenedequipment.com/blog/quilts-106-quilt-layering-for-cold-temps/

Make sure your pad is up to the task.

Two weeks ago I was at 9800' in Colorado and it dropped to 0*. I was fine in a set of base layers and a 20* quilt. I'm also a cold sleeper.

I bet you woke up every hour to eat as well :)

I went with a 0* as it is so easy to vent if too warm. I use a woobie in during warmer seasons.

I pulled the trigger on the mass drop as in less then 2 hr almost 50 were sold, I can always layer up with my gd puffy if needed. Does anyone use a liner in their quilts? This could add some insulation too.

is 225 the lowest price it will drop to? I'm new to mass drop

also - is the 7D massdrop exclusive fabric going to be fragile compared to the 10D?

Not sure about the 7D being fragile or not, but I pulled the trigger on a long/wide to give the quilts a try. Had thought about ordering one anyways and this drop was perfectly timed, and I don't have to wait two months to get it. It was between an EE and a Katabatic quilt, this one saves me $200.

Wife isn't gonna be happy...bought a tent, exo pack, and quilt this week..need to not Rokslide and drink

This 7d is very similar to our normal 10d, weave is a little denser, has micro ripstop grid, slightly heavier at .7 instead of .67.

It was ordered in error trying to get a lighter fabric sourced. Tested great and is as good or better than the normal 10d just not different enough to get me to switch. Still working on the .5 but lightweight has a lot of compromises.
