I just got back from Wyoming. I loved the modframe..

I'm going to speak blasphemy... I liked it better than my K4. I have a new K4 and a new modframe.. I trained with both. I hiked with both. I hunted with both.

I just like the modframe better. I like the modularity. I like that all my accessories (Vapor 2500, dry bag, scabbard, batwings, etc) fit the modframe. Mostly, I think I like the hip belt better. I also think I like the load lifters better (no one has ever said that about an Eberlestock pack before...)

I had a pleasant interaction with the EXO guys. I really liked them and I wanted to like the K4 better. (and I knew that Rokslide expected me to like the K4 better). But...

Must have been good for you to step out of the Exo line on here :) I will be interested in your future experiences with it.

Im liking my Mod frame with the K4 belt...playing for both teams. I don't like conflict. 😂

For me the full length laser cut molle on the Mod frame was the "decider" as I have a couple pouches with items I always want on the frame (water bladder, extra straps, kill kit, fire starter) then I just blaze away as needs change with the modularity/wide range of bags over those molle'd pouches.

2 bone in mule deer hinds and 1 front. Carried awesome! Like noticeably really good comparing other exact load combos.. Was only half mile so not a soul crushing test but promising.

Never heard of the mod frame prior to this. Have they been out for a while?

That’s pretty high praise.

What’s the weight on the frame alone. Fully equipped?

It looks comfy for sure. But, I recall reading about it and if I’m not mistaken, it’s pretty heavy. Which doesn’t bother me but, I suspect it will influence others.

Last question. Where is it made?

I'm on the fence between the two, can't stand my kifaru. I thought it'd be easy just grab an exo again but that mod frame and the prices have me intrigued anyone else have any experience between them?

I was really curious on the modframe. It just came out when I was in the market for a pack too. I went with a Kifaru Ark for one reason or another. Was previously very into eberlestock bags for range use & camping. But they were rarely even mentioned as a consideration in every “Best hunting backpack/frame” video/article/post. Appreciate your feedback. Not completely sold on my Ark yet, may switch to the modframe one day!

Just got the mod frame in, no weight on it yet but so far love it way more then my kifaru duplex frame. It's taller but more comfortable well thought out design. (Not sold on the zipper on and off for the bags) Great besides that. Plus can't beat the 25 percent off for Black Friday! Definitely get your hands on one!
