Anyone have one of these?

I need a question answered. I want to use this for predator hunting. If you were to sit with the pack on, does the load shelf hit the ground where you could lean into the frame as a backrest? If it does could you shoulder a rifle on a bipod from that rested sitting position?

If you un buckle the belt then you can position the pack to lean back against

I used mine for turkey hunting as a seat. On levelish to slightly hilled I could lean back against the shelf and raise my knees to support my shotgun. Pretty comfy. On wonky terrain I had to try and shim it with sticks to not lean too far to the side. Steep hills I had to sit on a log or something to keep from pitching forward too far. Not very comfy. I recommend you try it if your area isn't very hilly. It worked great in the right terrain

I can sit with mine on a rock/log/stump/etc where the load shelf thingy is out in space but flat on the ground/hillside, no way. Would not be my personal choice for what you describe but YMMV.
