I am planning on putting my 1.5 year old son in the backpack and taking him on a grouse hunt here in MT. Any suggestions for ear protection that is little kid friendly and works?

I've always had my daughter wear Walkers razor slim earmuffs. They get small enough even for a 1 year old and the noise cancelling function is nice. Good luck keeping them on a kid for extended periods though. The #1 reason I started buying suppressors is hunting with my kid and not wanting her hearing to be crap like mine, now I keep buying them due to the fact they're addicting. Suppressed 22 is the way to go for small game critter getting with kids.

I’d definitely recommend some sort of noise cancelling like mentioned above. Walkers razor slim would work well. I let my son wear my Peltor ComTacs and the noise cancelling feature works well for him. He can still hear me whisper and doesn’t have to raise his voice to hear himself speak.

I got a pair of Baby Banz for my daughter who just turned 1 last week. She's worn them to sporting events and upland game hunting. They are ok for what they are. I will definitely upgrade when we are able to start having legit conversations

I’ve used the walker razor slim and just cheap Amazon muffs. My little guy prefers the straight muffs instead of the electronic protection, he doesn’t like the sound of it.

He’s 4 now and 50 pounds, elk hunting pack training is officially underway. D9CFC05F-5791-4E19-91D3-B57CEF87D221.jpegC75685D4-DEA6-4E49-9D23-88042DD816C4.jpeg56E27CE1-65BD-4693-8FF8-ADB3A1644A5C.jpeg

Champion Vanquish Pro....We have them for both of our daughters. They are noise canceling/sound compressing so you can still talk and communicate with them and keep background noise up but cuts out the shot. Also, they have bluetooth. Our girls 3.5 and 1.5 wear them hunting and we just play music for them from our phones when they start to get irritated with them...definitely helps keep them on. Our oldest wears them spring snow goose hunting almost all day and has wore them since she was a little over 1 year old.

Stumbled across this thread, and appreciate some good information. My son is almost 2 and the ear Protection I have for him, is sub par. Think I will give the walker razor skim a go.

Thanks

My 18month LOVES to wear hearing pro. She lets us put it on and she goes off into her own little world
