I first saw Dwight Schuh and Larry Jones in about 1984ish giving an elk Seminar and showing/selling their elk bowhunting videos. Probably less than 40 people in a high school theater...good times.
Guys like that influenced a lot of hunters and Dwight will be missed.
Dwight was such a class act. He and Larry inspired a whole generation of western bowhunters. My cousin and I watched Elk Fever so many times I swear we wore out the tape. Prayers to his family.
One year I was kicking around what adventure I might want to try. I remembered reading an article about bowhunting Aoudad on public land. I could not find the article in my past issues of bowhunter. I called them up and a lady answered the phone. I told her what I was after and she put me on hold. Dwight picked up the phone. He didn't write the article but remembered it. We talked for a little while and he took my email address. A short time later he emailed me the story. Ill never forget how he took the time out of his day and talked to me like hed known me for years.
When I first got into Bowhunting and wasn't paying attention in GIS at college, I would read and re-read Dwights stuff.
What a man and what a legacy. Rest in Peace champ
