Durston DCF tent repair

How’s it going guys,
I recently did some damage to my Durston X-Mid Pro. We had a pretty windy night and my tripod tipped over and tore a hole in the noseeum netting- Let alone some wear holes from the bushes rubbing against the dcf all night. (But that should patch up fine with some dcf patches)
Anyways, I’m not sure the best way to proceed with fixing the mesh, thought about tenacious tape on either side, possibly using some kind of glue, or even sewing or hand sewing.
Looking at the pictures, the rip is about 16 inches long. Does anyone have any bright ideas that will actually hold up?

Part of the tear is also along the seam connected to the dcf, and continues into the middle of the mesh.

If you sew it directly back onto the Dyneema, you will create a bunch of new holes, but maybe these can be covered with DCF repair tape as well. I don't know how well the DCF tape will stick to the mesh, but maybe try taping it directly to the DCF panel where it ripped?

I would try Tenacious Tape on the section of the tear that is just mesh on both sides. I think that would be sufficiently strong and wouldn't affect the geometry/pitch as much as pulling the two sides together and sewing a new 1/4" seam allowance. You could put a piece of tape on the inside and outside sandwiching the mesh.

I don't have much experience with either fabric, and even less experience with them combined! Good luck and let us know what you try and how it holds up.

Thanks for the reply, I reached out to gearaid and they suggested using tenacious tape on inside/outside of mesh. We’ll see how well that holds up. I’m going to use that and then along the edge that is right next to the dcf try covering that section with dcf tape. We’ll see how it holds.

My other thought was using tenacious tape and then stitching on either side of the tape so it will be sewn through the tape and the mesh.

As for the dcf portion- if the tape doesn’t stick I’ll just stitch through, then tape over after to cover the holes.
