So tonight finally found some time to play with the MMR Duplex Frame and attaching the Trizip. I wanted a way to have a daypack for hunting but not cart around a big pack when I was hunting. I also struggled with unpacking, packing, unpacking, finding my gear. Organization. So Ive been watching the Videos and studying the photos on the Tactical Cargo Panel I came up with this setup. Med KU Pod attached on bottom This holds my Megatarp Sleeping bag and my Air mat. Trizip up top. All complete attached to the frame via straps and compressed with the tactical load panel. All my organization Lock and Loads attached to the inside of the cargo panel. I havent weighed this yet but it feels lighter then the MMR pack attached to the Duplex and it gives me the organization I need and the ability to have the trizip for a daypack when Im away from camp for the day.

I can lay it open and have all my gear right there. When I get to camp I hang the cargo panel and take only what I need for the day. Everything stays together and everything in reach.

Bow fits perfectly on the back attach with a few straps on the Molle.

Im a bit OCD when it comes to the modularity. This for me is the ticket. Wont be for everyone. Enjoy!

That is cool I like your set up!!

I'm a bit OCD about shinny things on any part of my hunting gear like the things that look like rhinestones on your pack in the pictures.
You might want to think about fixing that or not.

I like it. It too need organization with a pack. I can't deal with the one compartment bag. I have a MR longbow on the way to try on my Bikini frame. See how it works for a day/ overnight pack.

I just got another new (used, but new to me) longbow in the mail yesterday...this is my third one and I don't know why I keep selling them because I love the tri-zip and organization. I dropped it off at an upholstery shop last night and picked it up this afternoon. I had him cut & sew up like button holes, two slits in the pocket that slips over the Duplex frame for me to run the load-lifter straps through. I replaced the four buckles that would normally secure it to the NICE frame and replaced them with G-hooks. I have it mounted on my Duplex frame with a Grab-it below the main bag. There should be enough room under the longbow to store my "camp" (bag, tarp, bivy & pad) which I can leave at the camp with some other gear and hunt with the Longbow. I may need to add a couple long pockets to the sides, but having my bag & shelter outside of the main bag frees up a lot of space in the longbow. Seeing this thread has me wishing I didn't sell my cargo panel...the second of which I have gotten rid if. Time to quit selling chit!

I kind of threw this together quick. There is room in the grab-it for more, but I will probably leave a little room in there for the cam of my bow to rest while transporting it on the pack.

Don't know why I can't get these to post upright!

SHTF what is your plan when you get an animal down? Go all the way back to camp to grab the frame/cargo panel?

Pretty nice outside the box thinking there SHTF. I like modularity as well ;)

What does this setup weigh empty?

trizip can handle first small load then yes back to camp

I'm going to see of I can rig my Longbow like a load-sling like you can do with the NICE frame. Try to sandwich a meat bag between the bag & frame.

I forgot to mention that I'm right at 7 pounds with the bag, grab-it, two KU belt pouches & EMR frame with composit stays. I may cut some pockets out of the Longbow, but I hate to loose the organization.

Not being a smart ass, but couldn't you just throw all your bags in a big packbag and be done with it? Still organized by breaking down your gear into smaller bags like you have done and not have to reconfigure your pack and what not at all when its time to haul meat??

Didnt get a weight yet I got wrapped up doing some other configurations. I am thinking that the HPG bag is going to be the ticket for this setup. The weight will be so low I wont care if Im wearing the Duplex =).

Will the HPG bag replace the Tri-Zip? And why Duplex over Bikini for this seup?

The HPG C20M Bag has no sleeve. It is strictly a one chamber bag with a lid. I Use the UL S20M version and it makes for a great small pack on the Kifaru frame.

I guess I need to find me a resevoir sleeve now. =-)

Will the long pocket not serve this function? In my dream to possibly purchase a bikini and HC7000 this year I had envisioned using a long pocket on the side to carry a resevoir.

Badlands 3 litre rectangular reservoir fits in a Kifaru large belt pocket.
