Hey guys, has anyone here ever used an Omni belt on their Duplex Frame?
I tried this today with my frame (bought in 2014) and the omni padded pals belt off of my Kifaru Scout. Everything hooks up, it rides good (no weight yet though), and it seems to be working. The only real mod I think I need is to sew a pocket for the frame onto the back of the omni belt. Right now, the lumbar pad for the frame is all that's supporting the belt, other than the delta straps and shoulder straps.
The reason I am trying this is that the omni belt is much more comfortable to me than the Duplex belt is. I noticed a big difference just walking around the house. I typically don't carry over 40 pounds on my Duplex/Nomad combo, so maybe this will work out?
