Kifaru tells me for being 5'9-5'10 I should run a 24' frame instead of a 26' duplex. But I see everyone buying 26, is anyone running a 24??

I'm 5'10" and run a 24 with my cargo panel for hauling heavy loads and elk quarters. Also run my woodsman on the 24 both setups have the load lifters on the highest setting.

I have no plans of selling it until it's used used. I'm just trying to see the downside to a 26 over a 24, two inches more frame shouldn't bother me at all and I thought the 26 had attachment points at 24 as well. Ordering one this weekend with a DT1 before they are gone (got cut from the line up).

I'm 5-9 and my torso length is about 20.50". It varies by about +/-0.75" depending on who's measuring me. I'm told that's a long torso length, or on the high side of average for my height.

Exact torso length aside, the 26" frame fits me better, especially when I have 50lbs+ on my back.

Your results may vary.

I ordered a 24 as well. Aron said with my torso I wouldnt gain anything from a 26. (5-10 with 32 inseam). The 24 would be a little more friendlier in day hunt mode going through brush. I haven't got it yet, but trust his advice.

I"m 5'10, and generally wear a 34" inseam. I've got the 26" frame and like it quite a bit. That said, I have never run the load lifters on the highest setting, which leads me to believe I could have been ok with the 24". Either way, it should work for you.

If you ever decided to sell your frame, a 26" would be arguably more marketable than the 24. I'm 5'-10" and I'm using a 26", love it.

For this reason alone the 26" frame makes sense. If you sell your frame down the road (when the next latest and greatest ultracarboncompositie panel super foam shoulder pads model comes out ;) ) You'll have a much larger market with 26" frame. The extra 2" of frame height isn't a hindrance.

Heck my 5'3" tall wife and my 5'0 (yes 60") tall father both use 26" frames without issue.

My wife runs a 24" frame mainly because it fits her perfect and she gets plenty of load lifter function. If I had it to do over I would have bought a 26" frame in case we ever sell it.

I'm about your height and currently run a 26" bikini frame. For me the downside comes when I'm hiking through thick brush and the frame is bouncing off every branch I walk by or under. Out in the open no worries.

I'm getting ready to order a new frame and I am going to order a 24" just because I currently have my lifters set at 24" or slightly under that and I still have over a 45° angle. So I won't gain any extra functionality by having a 26".

Have you ever tried hauling a 24" frame through the brush? The difference I experienced after hauling both 26" and 24" frames through some alder hell is so minimal there were times I forgot which frame I had on. It makes you feel sleeker when walking around in the open but the reality in the brush was it comes down to the fact that it sucks no matter what pack you have on.

It been awhile but I used to own a crew cab on a NICE frame before they had their lift kits. Not sure what length that is but I know its way shorter, probably a 22ish inch frame. My problem is I have a short torso so my frame right now sits even with the top of my head, then add the height from the lid and I'm hanging up on all kinds of stuff. I agree though thick brush just sucks no matter what.

I was looking at it and I could almost get sufficient lift with a 22" frame, but Kifaru doesn't make any big bags for that frame so that's why I'm going with the 24".

I'm 5'8" with a 31" inseam.. I prefer the 24. I think it's noticeably more streamlined. When I bend over to duck under limbs my head hits the 26" and I can't look ahead. That's greatly reduced with the 24" for me.

5,9" 31 inseam and I agree with this completely. I have used 26" and 24" and I prefer the 24 and have plenty lift.

I have both size frames and find this to be true as well. The 24" frame provides plenty of lift for me.

This, when I bought my frame I was dead set on the 26 at first. I went over to see Cory at xXx since I live close because I wanted to try them both on. I didn't like that the 26 interfered with leaning my head back. Went with the 24 and haven't looked back. Plenty of lift for me. I'm about your size too
